Our 2025 Annual Meeting highlighted 75 years!

Eastern Indiana Federal Credit Union, based in New Castle, celebrated reaching their 75th year of “People Helping People” at their Annual Meeting. Members were greeted with a gift array of desserts served by the Breakfast Optimist Club. During the meeting, attendees heard member news and elected board members. Refreshments was served by the New Castle Breakfast Optimist Club. Members had the chance to win several door prizes including large hanging flowerpots, nugget ice maker, cash, and gift cards.
The meeting opened with a greeting from Board Chair Garon Davis and an invocation by Supervisory Committee Chair David Abbott. The following directors attended: Garon Davis, Kevin Brown, Cindy Kurz, Jacquelyn Reno-Kriech, Donna Bouslog, Jody Sloan, and Leah Combs. The following Supervisory Committee Members attended: David Abbott, Corey Murphy, and Donna Bouslog. Many members attended as well, providing a quorum for the meeting.
During the President/CEO report, Leah Combs shared several highlights including the credit union receiving honors from two national organizations for the value and service provided to members. She also shared that the credit union’s fraud detection efforts saved members over $144,000 in 2024.
Attorney Greg Crider presided over the election for the board of directors. Jacquelyn Reno-Kriech and Leah Combs were elected to the board for a three-year term.
Leah Combs was recognized for 30 years of service. Board Treasurer Cindy Kurz, Board Chair Garon Davis and Supervisory Committee Chair David Abbott were each recognized for 10 years of volunteer service and Board Vice Chair Kevin Brown for reaching 5 years.
A big thank you to all of you who brought socks to our Warm Hearts Warm Soles sock drive. 179 pairs of socks were collected for Warm Hearts Warm Soles.
