Credit Union Annual Meeting Focuses On Success and Stability

Eastern Indiana Federal Credit Union, based in New Castle, celebrated a year of strengthening capital and serving members at their Annual Meeting. During the meeting, attendees heard member news and elected board members.

The meeting opened with a greeting from Board Chairman Garon Davis and an invocation by Supervisory Committee Chairman David Abbott. The following directors attended: Garon Davis, Kevin Brown, Cindy Kurz, Jacquelyn Reno-Kriech, Donna Bouslog, Jody Sloan, and Leah Combs. Many members attended as well, providing a quorum for the meeting. 

Leah Combs, President/CEO, highlighted the safety of deposits at EIFCU along with member and community give back. Employee Sherri Benson was recognized for fifteen years of service. Combs also shared the winners of the 2023 “People Helping People” college scholarships: Mason Abrams, Evan Craft, Carly Taylor and Ryan Craft.

Attorney Greg Crider presided over the election for the board of directors. Kevin Brown and Jody Sloan were both elected to the board for a three-year term.

Sherri Benson (right) was presented a 15-year service award.
