74th Annual Meeting


Attend our Annual Meeting: Thursday May 16, 2024 at 4:00pm

Eastern Indiana Federal Credit Union’s Annual Meeting for 2024 will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 beginning at 4:00 PM. We expect the meeting to last about 30 minutes. Our lobby will close at 2:30 PM that day (drive up will remain open).

All members are invited to join us as we review the credit union’s success over the last year and discuss what is in store for our future. The goal of this meeting is to elect three open positions for the board of Directors. The Annual Meeting also provides an opportunity for members to meet the credit union’s Board of Directors, and President/CEO. We plan to have light refreshments and door prizes including the grand door prize of $250 cash. You must be registered to attend the meeting so don’t forget to RSVP!

The meeting will also be offered for viewing remotely via Zoom which can be accessed via a computer, smartphone or tablet. You can also simply dial in from a phone but you will not have access to video via this method; you will also not be able to vote in the meeting via this method. It is recommended that you download and install the Zoom application in advance of the meeting which can be found in the Google Play store or the Apple store on your smart phone. what is the purpose of the annual meeting?

The purpose of our Annual Meeting is to:

  • Update members on the status of the credit union

  • Review and approve the 2023 Credit Union financials

  • Outline past successes and future goals

  • Address old and new business items

  • Elect or re-elect Board of Directors

The Annual Meeting is a member-only event.

Registration is required to attend.

Once your registration is approved, you will receive instructions on how to connect via email and USPS mail.

Annual Meeting Documents

The year ending 2023 Annual Report is available on request to all members by mail or in office pickup.

For the 2024 Election, there are three (3) terms expiring. The three open positions will each have a three-year term. The Nominating Committee has nominated Garon Davis (incumbent), Cindy Kurz (incumbent), and Donna Bouslog (incumbent) as volunteers based upon their qualifications.

Will there be a physical meeting location?

Yes, our 74th Annual Meeting will be held in person AND offered virtually using a Zoom Virtual Meeting Space.

 

How do I participate in the Annual Meeting virtually?

After you register for the Annual Meeting, you will receive a registration confirmation email with additional information including instructions on joining the meeting using a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, or Android device, as well as an option to dial-in using a telephone.

Please note, your registration confirmation email will not come immediately after you submit your Annual Meeting registration. The Annual Meeting is a member-only event, all registrations are reviewed by Eastern Indiana Federal Credit Union before registration confirmations are sent to members.

 

What is Zoom?

Zoom is a video communication platform that allows individuals to connect in a virtual space using audio and video capabilities.

 

Do I need to register or sign up to attend the Annual Meeting?

Yes; however, registration can be done in advance or up until 5:00 pm on Monday, May 15. Preregistration is NOT a commitment to attend. To ensure our virtual Annual Meeting provides the best experience for those attending, we ask that you register to receive direct links and information to access our secure Zoom Virtual Meeting Space. Registration also allows us to enter members who are present during the Annual Meeting in the drawing for prize giveaways!

Please note, your registration confirmation email will not come immediately after you submit your Annual Meeting registration. The Annual Meeting is a member-only event, all registrations are reviewed by Eastern Indiana Federal Credit Union before registration confirmations are sent to members.

 

What if more than one person in my household is a member of the credit union?

If more than one member in the household will be attending the Annual Meeting, please register each member individually. This will allow us to enter all eligible primary members for prize drawings. You do not need to log in separately to view and attend the Annual Meeting.

 

Will I have to purchase or download anything?

There is no Zoom software purchase necessary to participate in the Annual Meeting and you do not need to create an account with Zoom to participate in the Annual Meeting. If you choose to participate in the Annual Meeting using your computer, tablet, or smartphone, you may be prompted to download the Zoom software to view the video feed from the Annual Meeting.

If you choose not to download the Zoom software, you can still participate in the Annual Meeting using the ‘For Telephone,’ directions provided when you receive your registration confirmation email. These instructions provide dial-in phone numbers that can be called from a landline or cellular device.

Whether you choose to attend the Annual Meeting by computer, tablet, or phone (landline or cellphone) you will be asked for additional meeting details in order to join the Annual Meeting, also found in your registration confirmation email.

 

i requested access to the virtual meeting and i haven’t received the information yet?

After submitting your request, please allow up to 2 business days to receive an email from us with more information on attending the meeting. You will also receive written confirmation in the mail. If it has been more than 2 business days, please give us a call at (765) 529-6632.

When should I ‘arrive’ for the Annual Meeting?

If joining in person, we will open by 3:30 PM for social time.

If joining virtually, please join at least 10-15 minutes early to ensure volume and internet connection are clear. We suggest that members do not wait until May 18 to test their ability to connect to the Zoom platform. If this is your first time attending a Zoom Virtual Meeting event, you can test your connection prior to attending the Annual Meeting at https://zoom.us/test. Do I have to use a computer or web camera to participate in the VIRTUAL Annual Meeting?

You do not have to use a computer to participate in the Annual Meeting. Your registration confirmation will include instructions on joining the meeting using a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, Android device, and telephone (landline or cellphone). Using a computer, tablet, or smartphone with the Zoom software will allow you to see and hear the Annual Meeting. Only meeting presenters will be seen during the meeting. Members choosing to only dial-in by phone (landline or cellphone) will not be able to see the meeting video feed or have access to all participation options offered through the Zoom software.

 

Will we be voting on the nominations to the Board of Directors?

Yes, members will have the opportunity to vote on the nominations to the Board of Directors during the Annual Meeting. More information on how voting will take place will be provided during the Annual Meeting.

 

Where can I find the Annual Report?

The 2023 Annual Report and the Board of Directors Biographies will be available at our in person meeting and sent directly to you by mail after you register for the meeting. They are also available for in office pickup by request.
